So, two weeks back I went to Portugal…
A little bit of sun, a little bit of surf, and some catching up with an old friend who lives down in The Algarve.
The interesting thing being, that this friend, well, he’s very motivated by money.
Now what I mean by that is he subscribes to the ‘more-more-more’ model.
In other words, and in his eyes, the more money the better.
Meaning, for him, life is a money race that involves constantly chasing down any and all opportunities that might bring home some extra bacon.
So we got talking business and after seeing what we’re doing here, he utter these fateful words…
“Charlie – WTF – why aren’t you running 20 groups? You could be making sooooo much money?!”
And he’s right.
I could.
See – right now, there is opportunity and demand to probably max out 20x One Man Empire groups, both here and abroad.
B-U-T… here’s the thing…
I don’t want to.
See in order to do that, something else would have to give:
- My autonomy.
- My freedom.
- Or most likely my family.
… And for me, those three things are not for sale – no matter the price.
Which brings me to the point of the email today – remember…
You ALWAYS have a fucking choice.
Too many men in this game trick themselves into thinking they have no options.
…no option but to answer emails at all hours.
…no option but to work with that dickhead customer.
…no option but to chase down every pound that is offered.
Yet, in my experience, this kind of arsehole thinking is dumb fuckery of the highest order.
See, it’s time to consider that you my friend, have nothing but options and choices.
… It’s one of the best things about this game we play today – the FREEDOM of choice.
So, your mantra for money this week, and moving forward, is simple…
… Remember:
- YOU choose the rules.
- YOU choose the terms.
- YOU choose your standards.
- YOU choose what you’ll do for money.
… And YOU choose what you won’t.
