This week I’m (potentially) in some very hot water…
And it all comes back to my personal ‘cheat’ code.
I use this everywhere.
Annoyingly for me, it took bloody ages before I worked it out.
Favouring the old yarn we were spun as kids:
“Work hard and you’ll get there!”
Anyway, the cheat code is this…
- Get access to people who have done what you want to do.
- Ask them questions.
- Do what they say.
Yep, it’s that simple and works like a charm.
And next week I’m with a group of globe-trotters from Californian, Amsterdam, Wisconsin, and Panama.
These are some of the best in the world at something that I want to be better at.
And rather than work it out alone, I ask them.
It’s quicker, easier, and a hell of a lot more FUN.
Good news for me, we’re meeting in Canary Wharf.
B-U-T I’ve got a conundrum…
As the ‘home team’ I’m in charge of scoping out dinner options.
And they are all foodies.
Last year we met in Atlanta and then Rome where the food is top notch.
…And, I have the palette of a 9-year-old boy.
See, we have a new Michelin-star restaurant in Lichfield…
Is everyone raving about it? Yes.
Have I been? No.
Will I go? Also no.
A burger and a pint of Pepsi Max is my kind of meal.
So…
Any recommendations on places to eat in Canary Wharf?
… Or can I take a bunch of foodies to Shake Shack?
Or Greggs?
Looks like I’m going to find out.
