So here’s the thing, I am an innately positive person.
Bold, brash, positive and overly sweary.
- For some it’s too much.
- For some it’s over the top.
- For some it’s excessive.
… But despite all of that, here’s the thing – I will not change.
See if history has taught me anything it’s that, on the whole, being a miserable son-of-a-bitch gets you nowhere.
… And in my experience life is always easier for those who choose to operate with a good fucking attitude.
B-U-T, even for me, there is a line I will NEVER cross:
- Blind optimism…
- Irrational positive thinking…
- Plain old hoping for the best…
Because when the rubber hits the road, these three will only EVER get you so far.
The fact of the matter is this:
You Can’t Eat Hope
… Positivity will not pay your mortgage.
… Optimism will not take your kids on holiday.
… Hoping for the best will not give you what you want.
The point being, now more than ever, it’s time for men like you and I to understand that despite what the books and the motivation men on the internet will have you believe – a good attitude alone is never the key to the kingdom.
It’s a battle half won at best.
A FOOL’S WAY TO FAIL at worst.
From what I’ve seen, hope, can and will quickly turn into excuses.
- A way of putting things off.
- A way of putting heads in the sand
- A way of failing to take responsibility.
It’s why every man of action that has ever walked the face of this planet has always chosen to combine a good attitude with INTENTIONAL action.
The reality being, you and I, can’t afford the luxury of waiting around and hoping for the best.
It’s why this week it’s time to consider that your mantra for money must be to make a ruthless commitment to intentional action over pipe dreams and castles in the sky.
Because in today’s fucked up blur of boom and bust, those men who choose to commit to the cause and swear an oath to activity AND ambition will always stack the deck in their favour.
Make More. Provide More. Be More.
