It’s my Granny’s Birthday today – she’s 90.
I consider myself very lucky that she’s still around, and that she’s part of mine and Barney’s life.
The truth is ten years ago she was given only months of life.
Now, she refused to bend the knee and instead chose to FIGHT.
A declaration and decision to go on the warpath instead of lying down and licking wounds.
Meaning, ten years on, and to this day, she’s still punching everyday square in the mouth.
Something, in my experience, I put down to her generation having the iron discipline to ruthlessly “stay calm and carry on” fighting – whatever the tornado of shit.
A lesson from an “Iron” lady and a mantra for money for any self-made man of value, that has never been more relevant.
… And one that begs the question this week:
Are you worth fighting for?
Because, if the 38 years I’ve shared on the planet with my Granny have highlighted anything, it’s that only those who choose to believe that they are worthy, who will continue to keep standing tall among giants.
