This is it.
Another trip around the sun…
Tomorrow I turn Forty.
Em said yesterday that I don’t look a day over 39 – I’m taking that as a win.
So far, the sports car hasn’t tempted me, and I’m not researching hair transplants – yet.
What has definitely happened this past week is reflection.
Reflection on the fact that if I’m lucky, and on paper at least, I’m halfway done.
And fucking hell, that halftime whistle is starting to ring LOUD in my ears.
Now, as a rule, I’m ok with risk, and would rather have regretted than never have regretted.
So I’m giving my first half performance a solid 6.5 outta 10.
‘Cause I feel like there’s still plenty left in the tank…
… Meaning next half, I need to get more shit done!
But here’s the kicker.
Seems time moves faster than it did 20 years ago.
When I was in my 20’s I had time to waste.
The days were long.
The nights were longer.
But now, well fuck, it seems to go in a blink of an eye.
After all there’s one thing we all KNOW…
Life is short.
I will die.
You will die.
Every man will die.
Meaning you and I would be wise to understand that you are here for a good time, not a long time.
So DO NOT WASTE IT.
In fact, let’s make your mantra for money this week this:
Live large.
Build big.
Remove shit.
NOW… not then.
Because now is time to saddle up the horses.
Now is the time to draw a line in the sand.
…and now is the time to be the man you were meant to be.
You’ve got one life, my friend, so go punch it square in the mouth.
Make More. Provide More. Be More.
