Seems if the rumblings behind yesterday’s Think Tank are to be believed, employees, right now, are a BIG pain in the arse.
… Finding GOOD employees that is.
Not only finding them, but then once they are found, trying to get them to do the shit they are paid to do.
… A cold harsh reality that shines a light on a worrying trend of the mass mediocre majority believing they deserve to get ‘money for nothing.’
After all, why bother working if the government is incentivising you NOT to work, and willing to pay you to sit on your arse and watch Netflix?
Hmmmm…
Anyway the point is this:
Finding good people right now is difficult.
… Meaning, you and I, my friend, would be wise to start going short on employees and long on automation.
It comes back to One Man Empire Iron Law #11.
Automate Or Die.
After-all, machine is always more efficient (and scalable) than man.
Because the truth is, even good employees are never scalable:
- They need sleep.
- They get sick.
- They can’t multi-task.
- They make mistakes.
- They’re inconsistent.
It’s why moving forward, and on the back of yesterday’s closed-door meeting, I’m urging you and the other smart ambitious men in this tribe to start ruthlessly replacing manual operations with automated ones.
Starting with the automation of follow-up and then the automation of workflows and delegation.
… Because there’s a funny thing that happens when you start automating your systems, your business and your processes by letting the machines rise.
- They never stop working.
- They never let up.
- They never get sick.
They just do the work, predictably and consistently, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
